Child-Friendly Parenting

An Excerpt from The Childbearing Woman: Pregnancy, Childbirth, Nursing, and Motherhood by Tiffany Tyndall — The Entirety of An Update

When I first completed this writing, I had a two-year-old son and another baby on the way.  I now have three children, ages 5 (a boy), 3 (a boy), and 1 (a girl).  Things have definitely become more complex as I balance taking care of three children, a husband, and a house.  But as a woman in the prime of her childbearing years, I am proud to say that it gives me a full heart to have a full home.  This is my calling and my purpose and my place and my passion.  I concede that not every woman identifies with these sentiments, nor should she have to nor does she need to.  But we can all take to heart the notion that we are women, and as women, some of us end up bearing children.  And as childbearing women, we can agree that this is a tough road at times, no matter if we stay home or if we work an outside job.  It’s tough being us.  But because God made us tough, we know that we can make it through anything.

From one childbearing woman to another, we can do this.  We are in this together.
