When things don’t go the way I want them to go, I will not despair or count the day as a loss.
I will find one good thing to focus my mind on.
And I will find a reason to be happy anyway – understanding that if I can’t find a reason, wanting to be happy is reason enough.
I do not have to wait for circumstances to be right or for other people to act a certain way.
I can still be happy even if nothing turns out the way I would have planned it.
I can still choose happiness, contentment, abiding joy, and peace even if things around me resemble anything but those things.
