When your life seems to bounce back a little (you know, when you have those moments of “everything is really going to be okay” even when you’re still very much in the beautiful muck of things as far as raising young children goes), take advantage of the bounce-back-ness by (a) resting and (b) getting out in front of the cart. You know what I’m talking about here. I’m talking about thinking ahead, planning ahead, working ahead, anticipating, following through, and (essentially) just doing what you need to do. Doing what you know is going to need to be done. Doing what you’ve been since letting go. Progress may be slow still, but steadiness will most certainly reap its benefits.
