Both Accept and Surrender Your Strengths and Your Weaknesses

When it comes to ourselves in the role of parenting, there’s an acceptance as well as a surrender of the best and worst parts of us that need to happen (of/from/by ourselves) so that we neither continue trying to strive after something that will never be nor keep holding on to something that we were never meant to carry.  By giving all to God (or whoever your Higher Power is), we are free to let the good things flow and keep the unhelpful things away.  In this way, we can become the most effective kind of parent without having to struggle so much with it.
