If we act the same as all the other parents who don’t know how to behave better—more effectively—with their children, then what good does it do to have this hope that we have? There needs to be a difference. A difference that others would want to emulate. A difference that others would sense is a truer, more enlightened way. When we treat our children (and spouse) kindly, with respect, and with patience, there is no greater demonstration of good in this world.
