Plant your feet firmly beneath you, and simply hold your ground. This is all we can do sometimes. The torrents may come, but keep yourself anchored. We can lose our footing when we forget that our parenting journey is as much a spiritual quest as it is a physical/biological one. No matter how hard our days are, if we can remember that this road is meant to bring us closer to our God, then we can get through anything. It’s when we get distracted by all the noise (literal and figurative) that we fall into a sort of black hole where life loses meaning and we lose perspective. Hold on to meaning and perspective by holding your ground.
