Our Happy Ending Starts Now

Giving up What You Half Want to Have What You Really Want

This lesson is a tough one in life.  But if we are ever going to achieve our main goals, we will need to do some pruning somewhere.  We can’t spread ourselves paper thin all of the time and expect to be able to experience (let alone enjoy) the fruit of our hard work (and not just physical work but emotional and spiritual work, too).  We have to make choices.  And they will be hard ones.  In the context of living a well-functioning life instead of a dysfunctional one, this may mean being selective about how we spend our time, energy, and funds.  We can’t do it all.  At least not yet.  We have to let go of some things.  And because we’ve chosen home and family as a priority, this will mean letting everything else sort of fall away so that we can focus on doing our best job here, with joy and deliberate-ness.
