And Then Let It Go

We never totally know what kind of effect our words and presence have on other people.  All we can do it put forth our best selves, always seeking to enrich the lives of those around us, always aiming to be an encouragement and a gentle voice of truth.  We may walk away from a situation completely convinced that nothing we did made a difference only to learn later that the outcome we were hoping for did in fact take place.  So instead of getting all knotted up with worry and fear, let us say our piece, do our thing, be our best—and then let it go.  That’s all we can really do.  May we do that with all of our heart and hope for the best as we go in the direction of our best.
