Look at Them When They Talk to You

It can be hard—especially when we are in the middle of something—but it’s important, nonetheless, to look at our children when they are talking to us.  It shows that we are listening and that we are present.  It shows that we are interested in them and that we want to be around them.  It show that they are more important than our work.  And it shows that we are acknowledging their presence and that we value their thoughts and ideas.
