Have the confidence it takes to stay cool, calm, and collected at every turn in parenting. We don’t have to be veteran parents before we step into our own. We can be confident now, and we can keep a cool head, a calm heart, and a collected demeanor now—because all of these things are choices we make for ourselves. None of this depends on longevity of experience. Over time, we will learn all sorts of things that work best and that bring about a most preferred effect, but we don’t have to wait for that time to arrive before we use the reigns of self-control, poise, and self-assuredness. We don’t have to have it all together before we choose to make confidence a reality in our life—and in fact, the having-it-all-together thing usually happens as we grow in confidence. They go hand-in-hand.
